AbstractDr. Robert P. Biuk-Aghai is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer and Information Science of the Faculty of Science and Technology at the University of Macau. After undergraduate studies at the University of Hannover, Germany, he obtained an M.Sc. degree in Information Systems, with Distinction, from the London School of Economics, UK in 1990. In 2004 he was awarded a Ph.D. degree in Computing Sciences by the University of Technology, Sydney, Australia. His doctoral research was on the topic of Patterns of Virtual Collaboration, which was concerned with the discovery of patterns of interaction in shared workspaces. This research has made a number of contributions in the areas of data mining, information visualization, and the modeling of collaboration.
