I'm studying for a PhD in the School of East Asian Studies at Sheffield University. I used to be a tv news cameraman and producer/coordinator so my interest is in the visual 'language' of tv news in Japan. I also do the odd bit of teaching, some proof-reading and occasional Japanese-English translation work. And I have two kids...(and a wife!!)
